Swinger Clubs are too Inexpensive

Feb 13, 2024 | Swinging

Last Friday evening, my wife and I ventured into the vibrant heart of Chicago and found ourselves at Joy District, situated at 112 West Hubbard Street. This laid-back locale was far from the upscale scene—you won’t find pretentious vibes or minimalist decor here. Instead, the place buzzed with the lively energy of college basketball fans, with wall-to-wall screens broadcasting back-to-back games.

Amidst the cheers and excitement, we settled in and ordered our spirits of choice—a classic bourbon for me, and a Manhattan for my wife. When it came time to settle the tab, gratuity was already factored in, bringing our total to $49 and some change. A swift exchange of a $50 bill and we were back out, into the night.

That brief foray into a simple Chicago bar encapsulates life in 2024 rather succinctly. A pair of drinks in an unassuming spot like this now nudges the $50 mark.

Consider a dinner date in the city, and you’re looking at no less than $150 for a duo seeking a culinary escape. It’s clear—the costs of conventional social outings are on an incessant climb.

However, in this landscape of rising expenses, we’ve discovered an intriguing alternative—swinger parties. Offering a twist on typical night outs, these gatherings in the Chicago area are BYOB and only cost $60 – $80 per couple.. It’s an unorthodox comparison perhaps, yet when it comes to affordability coupled with a vivacious social scene, swinger parties emerge as a surprisingly enjoyable and budget-friendly option.
